It is obvious to me that you have and will continue to be a great force for economic change here. Thanks for meeting with our class yesterday. “Thank you so much for taking time out of your schedule a few weeks ago to speak to the Leadership Longview class. I know you are a busy man and so I am thankful that you made that a priority for the day. I had the chance to read the class reviews and all those who answered thoroughly enjoyed your presentation and the honesty and humility from which you spoke. I am thankful that a man of your leadership and character is helping leas our county. Thanks again Judge Stout.”

“Your tenure as Gregg County Judge ranks you as the best, by far, that I have observed in my 50 years watching Gregg County government. In this very rough and tumble political world, you have presided with dignity, class, and respect to a very demanding job, compounded with the fact you have 124,000 bosses and instant critics of anything you might say or do as a manager of the county. I know the list of issues that you deal with is far longer than I know, just wanted to say JOB WELL DONE and thank you for all your efforts on behalf of the citizens of Gregg County.
Again, thank you for all you have done for this community, and keep up the good work!”

- Jim Hurst
